Meatball gave birth to puppies while living in a high-kill shelter. Sadly, due to the harsh conditions, her babies did not survive and became little stars in the sky. After losing her puppies, she was left alone and heartbroken until she was rescued.

Meatball is a loving girl who simply wants to be loved. Because of past abuse, she can become frightened if someone makes sudden hand movements or approaches her with a stick or similar object. Despite her difficult past, she has a gentle heart and continues to trust people.

She enjoys walks, gets along well with other dogs, and has no known allergies. She loves treats of all kinds, especially duck and sweet potatoes. She is currently working on her outdoor potty training and enjoys sleeping on cool floors.

Meatball has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and is now healthy and ready for a fresh start.

All she needs now is a family who will embrace her for who she is and give her the love she has always deserved.
