Cheddar was rescued from a high-kill shelter just before euthanasia.

He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a few treats, he quickly becomes friendly and follows anyone around. He does very well with children and is comfortable around them without hesitation. He also gets along well with both small and large dogs.

Cheddar enjoys going for walks and is a very curious little dog who loves exploring his surroundings.

He is pad-trained indoors and also goes potty outside during his daily morning and evening walks. He occasionally marks indoors, so he sometimes wears a belly band/diaper in the house.

He has excellent grooming manners, tolerates baths well, and is cooperative with tooth brushing.

Cheddar may bark a little when unfamiliar visitors enter the home, and he can become vocal when he gets excited while playing with other dogs.

He previously completed heartworm treatment and has since tested negative. He is currently in excellent health with no known allergies.

He receives NexGard every month on the 13th.

Cheddar is not a picky eater. He especially loves salmon treats and enjoys all kinds of meat-based treats. His favorite toys are latex balls and stuffed plush toys.

Cheddar would thrive in a family that enjoys including their dog in a variety of activities and experiences. He would also do very well in a multi-dog household, as he enjoys the company of other dogs. ❤️🐾
